1. Title, director and release year?
2. Does the annotation briefly articulate the central argument or narrative of the film?
3. How is the argument or narrative made and sustained? How much scientific information is provided, for example? Does the film have emotional appeal?
4. Does the annotation describe the matrix of sustainability problems drawn out in the film?
5. Does the annotation describe what the author found most persuasive and compelling, and why?
6. Does the annotation note parts of the film that the author did not find compelling or convincing?
7. Does the annotation describe the audiences that the film best addresses?
8. Does the annotation evaluate the film’s environmental educational value?
9. Does the annotation describe points of intervention suggested by the film?
10. Does the annotation demonstrate (with at least two supporting references) how the film led the author to seek out new information?
